Everything You Need to Know Before You Sell
Do you buy all piano brands?
We specialize in Yamaha, Steinway, Kawai, Mason & Hamlin, Bösendorfer, Bechstein, Schimmel, and Boston. However, we’re happy to consider other makes as well—just share the details in your form.
Can you pick up from upper floors?
Yes. But first we need to see some pictures of the stairs. For pianos located upstairs or in more complex situations, we can provide a custom quote for safe, professional removal.
When will I receive payment?
You’ll receive a check at the time of pickup—no waiting, no hassle.
Do you buy Antique pianos?
The short answer is No. Pianos are only serviceable for 50-75 years before needing major rebuilding.
Do you buy Digital Pianos?
We do not purchase used Digital Pianos, Keyboards and Stage Pianos.
How to Find Your Piano Serial Number
Knowing your piano’s serial number is the first step in determining its value and history. The location of the serial number varies depending on whether you have a grand or upright piano.

For Grand Pianos
The serial number on grand pianos is typically a 7-digit number stamped on a brass or gold-colored plate. You’ll find this plate underneath the music desk (the panel that holds your sheet music) inside the piano. Simply lift the music desk to reveal the serial number.

For Upright Pianos
For upright pianos, open the top lid of the instrument and look in the top right corner. The serial number is usually printed in black ink on the inside of the piano, either on the frame or on a metal plate.
