The Yamaha B Series delivers trusted Yamaha acoustic quality at an accessible price point, available in two hybrid configurations. The SC3 Silent System lets you practice in complete silence through headphones, while the TC3 TransAcoustic goes further — vibrating the piano’s own soundboard with digital sound so you get real volume control without headphones at all. Both systems include Grand Expression Modeling, Virtual Resonance Modeling, and binaural CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial sampling for an exceptional headphone experience, plus Bluetooth MIDI for wireless connection to the Smart Pianist app.

The Yamaha U Series and YUS Series represent the pinnacle of professional upright piano construction — manufactured entirely in Japan to the same exacting standards as Yamaha’s grand piano range. Every model in this section is available in two hybrid configurations: the SH3 Silent System (practice silently through headphones, preserving full acoustic action) and the TA3 TransAcoustic (control volume or layer digital voices through the soundboard — no headphones required).
The U Series and YUS Series feature Yamaha’s binaural CFX sampling, Virtual Resonance Modeling, and Grand Expression Modeling when played silently — the most advanced silent piano sound system available on an upright instrument.
Yamaha offers 6 different piano options for Japanese made baby grands with either the SH3 or TA3 hybrid piano systems. The 5’3 size offers a TA3 or SH3 option for the GC1 or C1X. The 5’8 size for the C2X or GC2 are available with the SH3 option only. All SH3 or TA3 systems are factory installed during the building process of the piano.

The Yamaha CX and SX Series concert grand pianos — from the C3X through to the S7X — represent the highest level of Japanese craftsmanship available in a Yamaha silent grand piano. All models in this section feature the SH3 Silent System as standard; the C3X is also available with TA3 TransAcoustic technology for volume control without headphones.
These are instruments chosen by conservatories, recording studios, and professional performers. The SH3 system preserves every nuance of the grand piano action in silent mode — including Grand Expression Modeling and the full CFX binaural experience.
Every Instrument is First and Foremost a Yamaha Acoustic Piano.
The Hybrid Hardware is only installed new in the factory to ensure proper play and Calibration.
