The Yamaha GC1M in Satin American Walnut is a 5’3″ Yamaha grand that lets the warmth of walnut show through a low-sheen finish. It reads as fine furniture first and as a piano second.
A Yamaha Grand Built in Kakegawa
The GC1M is crafted in Yamaha’s Kakegawa factory in Japan. Its frame is cast at the Iwata Foundry using V-Pro technology, and the action is made entirely in-house. Skilled artisans voice and regulate each GC Series piano, and Yamaha seasons the frame, braces and tone woods to adapt to the temperature and humidity of the room it will be played in.
Satin American Walnut Finish, Keyboard and Pedals
The keyboard has 88 keys, with acrylic resin white keys and phenolic resin black keys. The pedals are damper, sostenuto and shift. The lid has two prop positions with a safety stop, and the fallboard closes softly. The Satin American Walnut cabinet has a natural walnut look with a low sheen and a square-edged lid.
