The Yamaha SH3 is the factory-installed Silent system for Yamaha’s premium acoustic pianos: engage it and the hammers stop short of the strings, so you hear the full instrument through headphones while the room stays quiet. It is a real acoustic piano at all times, never a retrofit or a compromise.
Below are the SH3-equipped models we carry, from the U1 and U3 uprights through the YUS Series to the GC and CX Series grands. New to the technology? Read how a Silent piano works or compare systems side by side on the TA3, SH3, and SC3 spec sheet, then come play one in our Lawrenceville, NJ showroom.
